FAMU NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION
Session I -School of Business and Industry - June 11th -12th
Session III -Allied Health - July 9th-10th
Congratulations on being accepted to FAMU! For more than 130 years, FAMU has been a university of Academic Excellence...with caring. You are destined to be successful and as you prepare to become a "Rattler" FAMU will embrace you and prepare you for this journey called life. In a few weeks, you will participate in the required 2026 New Student Orientation (NSO) program. Incoming freshmen will have an opportunity to experience campus life for a day. In addition you will have an opportunity to register for classes and be able to take care of any other enrollment issues required prior to the beginning of the 2023 fall term.
THE HBCU SHUTTLE is headed to FAMU for the NSO Session. What a great way to meet and network with other incoming freshman headed to FAMU. THE HBCU SHUTTLE has partnered with the office of NSO for the past seven years in providing transportation for students . Transportation service is available from South Miami, Miami/Miramar, Pompano and West Palm Beach
COST: $185 per person for round trip transportation from Miami, Broward and West palm Beach. Parents are welcomed to travel. The cost for parents include transportation and hotel accommodations. See payment link below.
*Session I -Departing June 10, 2026 @ 11:00p.m. (returning immediately after the NSO Session ends)
*Session III -Departing July 8,2026 @11:00 p.m. (returning immediately after the NS Session ends)

The aforementioned cost does NOT include university registration for the NSO. Student and family registration must be completed on FAMU's website.
Payment for transportation can be made below.. You will receive ticket confirmation via email which must be presented at time of boarding along with a picture ID. Three (3) days prior to each travel date, THE HBCU SHUTTLE, INC. will host a teleconference for all the participants traveling to the NSO. You will receive and email and voice message reminding you of the conference and the login credentials. We strongly encourage parents to participate in this conference call. Details to be discussed will include, but not be limited to, inbound and outbound travel date/departure times, luggage requirements, boarding locations etc.
